COVID-19 Policy & Procedures
To our Carolina Center for Eye Care patients:
During the next 2 – 4 weeks while we learn more about the coronavirus/COVID-19 virus and work our way through this pandemic, we would like to do our best to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible. Please see the below recommendations and changes we are putting in place. Please help us to keep yourself, others, and our staff safe during this uncertain time.
- We will be happy to provide refills for patients who have glaucoma and choose to postpone their appointment.
- We ask that only the patient come into the office if the patient is of age. Otherwise, we ask that only one well adult comes in with each pediatric or geriatric patient and that siblings do not come in.
- Per CDC guidelines, all patients must disclose if they have been experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, if they have recently been in contact with anyone who has contracted COVID-19, or if they have recently traveled to/from an area that the CDC labels as high-risk.
- Upon entering our office, we ask you to use a hand-sanitizer before checking in.
Finally, in accordance with the CDC guidelines, we will practice social distancing to the best of our ability. To this end, the number of chairs in the lobby will be decreased. Surfaces will be wiped down every couple hours and thorough cleaning will be done each night. We direct anyone with a fever, cough or acute respiratory symptoms to their primary care doctor to try to keep them out of our office.
Thank you so much for your help and cooperation. We will be in touch as things change.
Sincerely,
The Doctors and Staff at Carolina Center for Eye Care
