As part of your exam, we will be requiring an OptoMap photo, which is a digital retinal image.
This gives us the ability to look inside the eye quickly for any health concerns (bleeds, holes, tears, freckles, melanoma). We use this to monitor any progression of eye diseases or retinal changes over time. This is our standard of care for all patients.
The OptoMap has a $39 copay if we are unable to bill it to your medical insurance.
